You would think that bigger kids and families are easier this isn't always so because kids in particular can react to being shoved into a studio and told to smile. My solution is to be patient tell them what I am doing, show them the flash equipment ask them if they are ready for me to start. This is pretty much the protocol for taking photos of Adults too. I can't see that children don't deserve the same respect. Photography can't be done by force so it is very important to treat the subject with respect and understanding. At Bella Photo we always allow enough time to ensure that we are able to take good photographs for you.
